You can convert basic Triple-S templates from Professional Authoring to Survey Designer Templates so they can be managed and updated inside Survey Designer. This allows you to continue managing the templates in the new user interface without requiring Silverlight/Internet Explorer.
When you use this conversion tool, a Survey Designer Data Template is created with the same set of variables, in the same order as in the original template.
Note: No advanced settings such as column/card positions or label overrides will be included. The conversion tool cannot be used on "flattened templates", where variables in loops have been expanded into separate variables per iteration, because this functionality is not supported in Survey Designer Data Templates.
To convert one or more Triple-S templates:
- In Professional Authoring, go to Data Processing > Templates to open the Template List.
- Select one or more templates and click Convert - .

A task will run through the templates and convert them to survey designer templates (if they are supported). The converted template(s) for each survey can then be found in Survey Designer under Data > Templates.
